After many years, more than 20, we have come to realise that we are no longer in a position to give our half-decker the attention she deserves, we are taking her out too infrequently, and would like to find a new owner for her. Any reasonable offer (Eric (Bishop) knows best – as he has been looking after her for all these years) will be accepted.
She is a BM or 16 Square, as large traditional Dutch class of which there are more than 20,000. They are used for serious racing as well as by sailing schools and as picnic boats. The latter category is probably ours. She sails wonderfully and very light and is easy to operate. She was built somewhere in the 1970-s. The hull is made of fiberglass and the deck of plywood, painted green. She provides a very comfortable venue for a picnic on the water.
